Based on a true story.

It is the nose of my dear Ernestine.

Long lay the brown girl,
Hogging all the blankets,
‘Til I appeared,
With the hope of 40 winks.

I bend right down,
And get set up to nuzzle,
The muzzle brown,
So sweet in dim morn light…
